As a passionate and dedicated organization, we are committed to the upliftment of South Africa and the empowerment of our youth. Recognizing the vital role that young people play in shaping our nation’s future, we have launched a donation program in support of local child and youth centers.
We are pleased to offer a special initiative that allows establishments to purchase our water bottles at a discounted rate. For every bottle sold through this program, R1 will be donated to a youth center of your choice. This initiative provides a simple yet impactful way for your organization to contribute to the well-being and development of our community’s youth without significant financial burden.

PRESERVING OUR MOUNTAINS
We have a deep love for the mountains that surround us and thereby do what we can to help keep them safe and preserve the nature they hold. We do this by donating water to the VWS (Volunteer Wildfire Service) and sponsoring a trail running group with all earnings at each run going to Friends of Table Mountain and CCP.

We believe that, as suppliers of water, we have the responsibility of recycling the bottles, the caps and the labels. This is the basis of our recycling pledge. You can hold us accountable to this, and we promise 100% honesty in our recycling efforts.
For this reason, we’ve chosen a 100% recyclable PET bottle for our water, and we’re making it easy for you to recycle these bottles, so you can feel good about buying our products.
We follow recycling regulations to the letter to make sure that all components that we use can be recycled easily by all South Africa’s recycling companies and are awaiting certification from extraPET, one of the leading recycling companies in Cape Town.
We choose 100% recyclable PET because it aligns perfectly with Cape Town’s current recycling infrastructure. The public is familiar with PET recycling, and we maintain transparent traceability of its journey. Our commitment to sustainability drives our material choices.
Here’s why PET makes sense for us:
- Lightweight: Compared to glass, it’s ten times lighter, significantly reducing transportation fuel and emissions.
- Safe and Stable: It doesn’t break easily, preventing leaks and leaching of harmful chemicals.
Recyclable Everywhere: Its low melting point enables recycling in small and large facilities, fostering a versatile and robust secondary lifecycle that benefits our economy.
Eco-Champion: Compared to aluminum or glass, PET bottles require less energy and generate less solid waste and greenhouse gases. (2)
“Biodegradable” and “compostable” may sound promising, but the reality can be murky. Standards vary, performance in different environments like water or cold temperatures remains unclear, and proper disposal options often lag behind. If degrading takes place in the incorrect setting it can release methane and CO2. That’s why we choose transparency over greenwashing. We don’t use materials with misleading claims when their true impact is uncertain. We care about what happens to our bottles after their first use and believe in solutions that fit our current infrastructure. For now, that means sticking with tried-and-true, fully recyclable PET bottle. (1)
